Match Report:Ely City Reserves 1 Witchford 96 0

Andrew Lee was pleased to give his new look side a run out on Monday night against Senior B side Witchford 96.

Only two players in the squad remained from last season and it was a mixture of last seasons Under 18s with a number of trialists on show

In a very close and competive game it was new signing Paul Summerskill's run from midfield that created the chance for Luke Mansfeild to head home after 17 minutes

Witchford had a lot of possession in the second half but could not find a way through and the game finished up 1-0

The only downside to the game was that George Rayner suffered a broken wrist and will be out of action for at least eight weeks
