Match Report :March Town Reserves 1 Ely City Reserves 0

The Robins second string completed their pre season games with a trip to Wisbech to play March Town Reserves on Saturday.

The game gave manager Andrew Lee a good chance to assess some of the clubs Under 18s while giving match time to a few others who had missed out on early pre- season games.

The game itself was settled in the 1st half when a ball over the top caught out the Ely back four and the Hares forward slotted home past youngest Joe Deas. Aiden Course had a chance to level the game in the second half from the penalty spot after Mitch Drewitt was brought down , but is tame penalty was easily saved by the home keeper.

A disappointing first half and an improved second half showing was managers Andrew Lee assessment of the game .

Robins now prepare for their first league game at home to Soham United on Wednesday 23rd August at The Ellgia Stadium. Kick Off is 7:45pm
