Supporting our community through crisis
Ely Foodbank is a registered charity, providing emergency food and practical support to people across 288 sq. miles of East Cambridgeshire and Fenland.
With 9 weekly foodbank sessions in Ely, March, Chatteris, Soham, Haddenham, Cottenham, Waterbeach and Burwell their friendly cafe-style sessions are where people can have a cuppa, and a chat, as well as getting a food parcel.
Last year alone, Foodbank provided more than 3,700 emergency food parcels, helping over 9,000 local people, including more than 3,500 children. Alongside emergency food, they also offer advice, referrals and essential household support to help people through difficult times.
Everything they do is made possible by the generosity of us as a community. That's why our support at Ely City Football Club, its players, volunteers and you the supporters offer to make a difference where we can.
If you're able to help, there is currently shortage of tinned meat and fish, UHT milk, tinned fruit, coffee, and tinned rice pudding or custard. Even one tin donated at today's game or in your next supermarket shop can help a local family facing crisis.
‼️ So bring along something to the club and place in our designated boxes and support Foodbank Ely! Starting from this weekend!!
Thank you for helping ensure that no one in our community has to face hardship alone.
