Ely went into this fixture in excellent form having won away the previous Saturday and being unbeaten in the last 7 matches.
Harleston Town providing the opposition this time, the Robins have never beaten town but that was about to change.
A attendance of 185 enjoyed reduced entry prices for the official Non-League Day.
Harleston Town arrived with only 1 substitute player.
The Robins started well and In the 3rd minute took the lead with a excellent effort by Alex Kerr, he has proven a real danger man this season and now has 7 goals to his name.
Things didn't improve for the visitors as their Number 12 saw a straight red card for a studs up tackle.

Into the 2nd half Town started to push forward whilst the Robins went into a bit of a slumber.
Unfortunately Tatum "Spud" Cartner got a bad knee injury and was stretched off the pitch and off to hospital. We hope that the injury isn't too severe and wish him well in his recovery.
Both goalies made a number of excellent saves to keep the scoreline the same.
