The club regrettably confirm's that it has withdrawn its new 'B' Team (previously Ely Crusaders ) from the Cambs County League Division 2B for the forthcoming coming season due to lack of players.

As part of the overall merger taking place in June it was the biggest risk in terms of sustaining the team and mixing in with the set of three men's teams the club already had running. Only a handful of players joined over the summer and with overall player commitment deteriorating in men's football in general the decision was made by the committee to pull the team and remain with three men's sides. It was ambitious to have four men's teams,but we had to give it a go out of respect for the previous Crusaders set and the merging of the clubs.

The club is always looking to the future along with it's playing structure and if the need for another senior team becomes an option in the future then it would be considered.
