Ely continued their unbeaten form with a gutsy second half performance, as two goals from Geovanna Sallas and one from Treasure Nwanebu sealed victory at the Demcom.
The first half was a tight affair, but mainly bossed in possession by the Robins. Pressure from Nwanebu and Chazza Murombo caused the away side problems early on, both going close - before Lou Harwood sliced just wide when the ball fell to her from a corner.
At the other end, Kaci Gibson was on hand with Kerry Dyer to cut out a dangerous attack before keeper Lant Stevenson had to be alert to take under her bar from a dangerous cross into the City box, Tash Lane hit a long ball into Danni Youngs late in the half, who's ball in behind just deceived Murombo to allow the Walden keeper to dive at her feet. Gibson cut out a long through ball and Harwood blocked a counter attack, as both side went in goalless at the break.

Second half started more lively, as Ely began to move the ball better and much quicker. Salles was introduced with Tiana o'Hara to add some pace in behind, as the Robins stretched the game.
And the deadlock was broken on the hour from a well worked move down the right saw Salles slip inside her marker and the ball was eventually shot under the keeper and over the line as the defender attemped to scramble clear under pressure from Nwanebu. Nwanebu got her own minutes later, as a lovely floated pass by Erin Chandler found her in the channel. Using her strength, she muscled her way past two defenders and slotted past the keeper on the angle to make it 2-0.
Walden were pressed high, Gibson and Dyer again made crucial interceptions just inside their own half and Chandler did excellent to clear under pressure. The impressive Chandler again joined the attack as she won the ball deep and played a cross field ball. Good work again inside saw the ball played to Lane on the edge of the area and her superb deft flick beat the defensive line for Salles to stride through and place past the keeper into the far corner for 3-0.
The game petered out as a contest, although Nwanebu and O'Hara could have grabbed another, but it left time for Walden to grab a late consolation, deep into added time after the ball wasn't cleared by the Robins on the edge of their own box- for 3-1.
