Robins taking on The Fenmen in County Derby

Tomorrow sees The Robins take the 40 minute car journey to our former Eastern Counties rivals Wisbech Town in the FA Cup Preliminary Round.

This will be the fourth time the two sides have met in the FA Cup and on each occasion 'The Fenmen ' have come out on top. The first match played was in the season 1955/56 in the 2nd Qualifying Round and was watched by a crowd of 3,488 at Fenland Park. The final score was 3-2 to the hosts with the Robins goals coming from Frank Oliver and Tony Green.

Again a 2nd Qualifying Round meeting in 1964/65 at the Paradise in front of 1,075 supporters saw us go down 2-0 .

The last meeting was in 2009/10 this time in the Extra Preliminary Round held at The Unwin Ground .Again the visitors taking the spoils by 1-0.

Manager Brady Stone knows his sides are complete outsiders and when he spoke to the website earlier today he commented 'The FA Cup is always a massive game, but there is no pressure on us whatsoever. We can go and play and enjoy the game with no fear and see what happens.I believe in this group and we are always good as the underdogs'

The club are urging as many supporters to travel and cheer on The Robins
