The first half started at a surprisingly fast pace for the first outing of pre-season

Although the opening stages were quite even Godmanchester wee looking dangerous on the counter account without ever finding the final ball.The Robins controlled possession, but only really threatened with long distance efforts.

The second half is where the home side really took control and dominated the ball and attacked with pace.

Lewis Perry had a volley cleared off the line and the same player also hit the bar with a corner from a header. Joe Pettit also was denied with an effort saved by the visiting keeper.

The Robins did take the lead with a good passing move which started from the back and Ollie Ward was put through and placed his shot pass the advancing keeper. George Hay then went close hitting the bar

With 10 minutes to go Joe Pettit cut in from the wing and drilled a low shot pass the keeper.

The visitors scored with the last kick of the game when a defensive slip was punished.
