The Under 18 side saw through a different test in their second pre-season outing against an adult Huntingdon Town Development side.
It took a few minutes for the team to find their feet but the pleasing aspect of the performance was the way the team looked to impose their game on the more senior opponents.
The first half was filled with confident passing and chances created as the Home goalkeeper pulled off a number of saves including tipping a Will Fox 25 yard volley on to the bar.
The breakthrough came when Ollie Ward 'dinked' the on rushing keeper when clean through to make it 0-1.
Half-time 0-1.
Huntingdon posed a very different threat in the second half. They kept bodies further up the pitch in order to try and pin the Youth side back.
Clear cut chances were few and far between and Huntingdon went close with a 30 yard free-kick and Lewis Perry cleared off the line after misjudging a header back to goalkeeper Ben Newton.
With numerous substitute changes, the game fizzled out and the young Robins saw out the physical threat of the home side.
Full-time; 0-1.
A good performance both technically and in dealing with a physical threat of the home side.
Starting lineup;
Newton, Elsom, Perry, Morris, Smith, Berriman, Hay, Fox, Marshall, Ward, Pullar.
