Mildenhall Town Under 18s 2 Ely City Under 18s 2

After the F.A Youth Cup exit against Bedworth United it was time to turn the attention to league points against a side who had already beaten the Robins at home a few weeks ago 3-2

Ely went into the game without a long list of players not being available. Joe Brannan,Jacob Waters,Lewis Hook,Alex Brown,Brandon Bishop,Lewis Beeton and Sam Phelps. On the bench for the Robins was Joel Butler who has had starts with the Reserves and new signing Ryan Frear.

Joint Manager Dave Beeton commented that we started well for the first 20 minutes and then we stopped passing the ball around and we found ourselves 2-0 and under pressure. At half time a few words were said and we came out for the second creating a number of chances. Tom Brosnan and Tom Thulborn got us back in the game and although Mildenhall had a player sent off they were the ones who had a couple of good chances to win it . I was pleased with Ryan Frear's debut and unfortunately Joel got injured five minutes after coming on so we only had one sub for the remainder of the match.

At the end of the game we will take a point although it does feel like two points dropped
